Ginger Porter

Ginger is a Plainview, Texas native and Plainview high school graduate of 1986. She attended South Plains College and then transferred to Texas Tech University. Ginger graduated from TTU in 1992 with a Bachelor’s Degree of Exercises in Sports Science with a minor in Dance. She received her lifetime All Level Teaching Certification in Physical Education in the spring of 1993 from TTU.

Upon graduation, Ginger moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma and worked as an Exercise Physiologist with the Physical Rehab Center of Tulsa and Dr. Peterson D.C. for over 15 years before returning to Lubbock. She joined Lubbock Sports Medicine in 2011 and worked with Dr. Cord for 2 years before moving over to work with Dr. Shephard. Ginger has worked as a medical assistant and is currently the Surgery Coordinator for Dr. Shephard.
